The IC693CHS391 is a modular CPU baseplate from GE Fanuc’s Series 90-30. It’s designed to make your PLC setup flexible and easy to manage, supporting modular CPUs, I/O modules, and a Power Supply module.
Key Features: Slots: 10 total 1 CPU slot (Slot 1) – specially sized for CPU modules or special option modules like the FIP Bus Remote I/O Scanner. 9 I/O slots (Slots 2–10) – designed specifically for I/O or option modules. Power Supply slot – installed in the left-most slot, not included in the slot count. Expansion port – 25-pin female connector on the right side, for connecting expansion or remote baseplates. Modular & Flexible: You can easily replace or upgrade the CPU or modules if you need extra features. Node Address: Defaults to 0, adjustable via programming software. Expansion Support: Depending on the CPU, supports up to 4 or 7 expansion baseplates. |

Power Supply Module:
Must be installed in the left-most slot (not numbered).
This slot is unique in size and type, only supporting a Power Supply module.
CPU Module / Special Option Module:
Must be installed in Slot 1, labeled CPU/1.
Slot 1 is specially sized to support a CPU module or special option modules such as the FIP Remote I/O Scanner (IC693BEM330).
I/O and Option Modules:
Slots 2 and above are unique in size and type, designed exclusively for I/O or Option modules.
Expansion & Remote Baseplates:
A 25-pin D-type female expansion connector is located at the right end of the baseplate.
Allows connection to Expansion or Remote baseplates.
Modular CPU Features:
CPU modules are replaceable or upgradeable for additional features.
Only one CPU baseplate is allowed per system. Additional baseplates must be Expansion or Remote types.
By default, a modular CPU baseplate is assigned Rack Number 0.
