A relay is an electronic control device that has a control system (also known as an input circuit) and a controlled system (also known as an output circuit). It is usually used in automatic control circuits. It is actually an "automatic switch" that uses a smaller current to control a larger current. Therefore, it plays a role in automatic regulation, safety protection, and conversion circuits in the circuit.
Electromagnetic relay is a type of relay that generates a predetermined response from the relative motion of mechanical components under the action of current in the input circuit.
It includes DC electromagnetic relay, AC electromagnetic relay, magnetic retention relay, polarization relay, tongue spring relay, and energy-saving power relay.
DC electromagnetic relay: An electromagnetic relay in which the control current in the input circuit is DC.
AC electromagnetic relay: An electromagnetic relay in which the control current in the input circuit is AC.
Magnetic retention relay: Introduce magnetic steel into the magnetic circuit, and after the relay coil is powered off, the armature of the relay can still maintain the state when the coil is powered on, with two stable states.
Polarization relay: A DC relay whose state changes depending on the polarity of the input excitation.
Tongue spring relay: A relay that uses the action of a tongue spring sealed in a tube, with a dual effect of contact spring and armature magnetic circuit to open, close, or switch circuits.
Energy saving power relay: An electromagnetic relay in which the control current in the input circuit is AC, but it has a large current (usually 30-100A), small size, and energy-saving function
Solid state relay is a type of relay whose input and output functions are completed by electronic components without mechanical moving components.
Time relay: When adding or removing input signals, the output part needs to be delayed or limited to a specified time before closing or disconnecting its controlled circuit relay.

AC contactors mainly consist of four parts: (1) electromagnetic system, including suction coil, moving iron core, and static iron core; (2) The contact system includes three sets of main contacts and one to two sets of normally open and normally closed contacts, which are interconnected with the moving iron core; (3) Arc extinguishing device: Generally, AC contactors with larger capacity are equipped with arc extinguishing devices to quickly cut off the arc and avoid burning the main contact; (4) Insulated casing and accessories, various springs, transmission mechanisms, short circuit rings, wiring posts, etc.
Working principle: When the coil is energized, the static iron core generates electromagnetic attraction, which attracts the moving iron core. Due to the linkage between the contact system and the moving iron core, the moving iron core drives three moving contacts to operate simultaneously, and the contacts close, thus connecting the power supply. When the coil is powered off, the suction disappears, and the linkage part of the moving iron core separates by the reaction force of the spring, causing the main contact to disconnect and cutting off the power supply.
